The Back to School Programme
With schools starting open up again, it’s time to get students excited about education.
Our back to school programme enables students to see the opportunities in front of them, start to step out of lockdown mentality and equip them with the skills needed to navigate their career aspirations through the Talk About Skills platform.
Talk About Skills is the world’s first e-learning platform for soft-skills, personal development and mental wellbeing. Students get access to a selection of online courses, corporate and university mentors and a careers bank.
This programme is designed specifically to build skills and encourage reengagement in learning.
The Talk About Change Programme
As the world becomes even more diverse and connected, it’s important for students to understand the variety of cultures that shape the world we see today and how to become a global citizen.
Students will get an insight into the real-life stories of role models, innovators and community leaders from all walks of life. These insights will showcase different races, LGBT+ insights, advice from socially mobile university students and more. Alongside this they will have access to the Teamwork and Digital Footprint online course. They will be able to take part in reflective tasks and access virtual corporate and university mentor clips.
This programme is informed by our Talk About Change showcase following the death of George Floyd. The showcase featured over 40 stories of black leaders, innovation and real life experiences and was attended by 600+ people from across the world. This showcase was designed to inform and inspire all communities to come together to facilitate change and community.
The Entrepreneurship Programme
You’re never too young to solve a problem, and so you’re never too young to be an entrepreneur. The Talk About Entrepreneurship Programme walks students through the entrepreneurship and transferable skills needed to innovate.
They will look at entrepreneurship from the lens of two global issues, create a product or a service and then deliver a pitch to professionals.
Talk About has worked with some of the biggest companies alongside charities and startups including HSBC, EY and the Birmingham Enterprise Company. We know that innovation and problem solving has no age limit and we’re here to help nurture the skills needed to bring ideas to life.
